Monday Evening... June 19, 2000

The following Monday evening, June 19,  the area in and around Fargo received 8 inches rainfall in over a 6 hour span closing streets, interstates, and affecting homes in Fargo, damaging 1.8 million acres of farm land crops.  On Tuesday, June 27, 2000, President Clinton signed a presidential disaster declaration to help 18 eastern and central North Dakota counties and two Indian reservations recover from flooding. This is the ninth such declaration in eight years.

These pictures are taken on Thursday that same week as still more rain fell in the area.
