Drought and Wildfires

 

Farm and ranch families have been plagued again with a lack of moisture in the state.  Wildfires have caused additional damage to fence lines, crops and livelihoods.

Lutheran Disaster Response ND has taken an active part in  Hands Across North Dakota (HAND), a collaborative effort of several denominations, state agencies, and others concerned about the rural people of North Dakota.

Available services* include:

       Couples Retreats

         Telephone Counseling

        Financial assistance may include (but not limited to):

  •  family living expenses
  •  utilities for family and operation
  •  animal feed
  •  fuel for hauling feed
  •  fence posts/wire
       Livestock fence repair through volunteers for flood
          damaged fence lines

  *all services are confidential
